About

Hi — I'm Amanda

We run 4–6 departures a year, and there's a tour leader on every one of them.

How this started

On a major cross-continent trip 10 years ago, I met my travel soulmates. Each year since the Mongol Rally in 2016, I have been organizing super adventurous trips for our friends & friends of friends.

With our group forever expanding, and more bucket list destinations to tick off, we decided to put together a lil company and invite others along to have the time of their lives.

Why fifteen people

We love a small group! We want you to walk away with a new group of adventure buddies, and fifteen is about the largest number where that still happens — everyone still fits round one table, and nobody spends the trip waiting on a coach.

It also means we can say yes to places that don't work at scale: the guesthouse with six rooms, the family that cooks for you, the permit that's capped.

Our concept

Think remote villages, grassroots projects, dynamic hikes, canoeing, ethical animal trekking, dancing with some locals, & so much more.

Some of our adventures take us off the tourist track and into the complete unknown. We set up a video call to give you more fine details about the program, and make sure you are a match for the group you will be paired with.

People come solo more often than not, and we don't charge a single supplement for a shared room.

Where the money goes

We are currently only partnering with local-owned and run hotels, local park guides, and local drivers. In a major goal to spread our money throughout the villages, we hire a number of hiking guides for the national park, and are working to expand our networks so we may help local communities sustain their own businesses.

One of our project goals is to work with more women-led businesses, giving them the autonomy they deserve to create successful organizations, knowing their work and guidance will nurture entire villages.

The short version

What you can expect

You'll get on with this if…

  • You've travelled a fair bit and want the logistics gone
  • You're happy eating with the rest of the group most nights
  • You'd rather walk into a place than be driven past it
  • You're coming alone and that's fine by you

Probably not for you if…

  • You want a fixed schedule with no unplanned time
  • You'd prefer a private trip just for your group
  • Five-star everything is the point of the holiday
  • You need to be back at the hotel by six
